Experience Medicine and how it's practiced overseas by doing an internship, thus adding substantial value to your CV or Résumé. You can work in Hospitals, Clinics and Social Centres with children or adults in a varied range of departments.

For some placements you don't need any qualifications. For others you may be required to be studying Medicine or a related subject in some form, or be qualified. Whatever your requirement or qualifications level, there will be a placement here suitable for you.

Internship in Nutrition & Healthcare for Young Children with Malnutrition in Mendoza
The Hospital where you'll intern is for very young children with malnutrition. Their aim is to combat infantile malnutrition and you'll work with the paediatricians, the nutritionist, the social worker and nurses to help the Hospital achieve this aim.

This is an internship for professionals or students of nutrition or healthcare. You'll spend time with the professionals who will assist you in learning all about malnutrition care in Argentina. When you're not observing or assisting the doctors, you will be an invaluable member of the Care Team, feeding, playing, reading, singing, and stimulating the children in their recovery.


Medical Work Experience Internship in Accra:
Work in a fairly new Medical Center in Accra, with good facilities and a wide-ranging team of medical specialists. Includes Nursing, Optometry and Dentistry, among others.

You'll experience many different departments abd observe the doctors, nurses and other staff members. The role you'll be allocated will depend to an extent on your qualifications, experience and your own capabilities. You'll be involved in the day-to-day running of the Center and help out in simple but practical ways, thus increasing your own knowledge and understanding of medical practice.



Medical Work Experience Internship vin Madurai
Gain a good insight into the workings of a hospital in India. We work with a variety of hospitals but duties and experience in all of them will be very similar. You will have more or less in-depth hands-on experience depending on whether you're studying medicine, are qualified, or have not yet started your studies.

Generally, your day will start with accompanying the doctors on ward rounds to see the in-patients. You'll also sit in on doctor-patient consultations. You'll be assigned to a doctor or nurse who will supervise you during each session.

Pharmaceutical Work Experience.
One of the two project Hospitals we work with has a substantial Pharmaceutical Department where you will be able to work as part of your overall medical placement.

Dentistry Work Experience.
The owner of the practice trained in England and has achieved many awards for services to dentistry. They even have their own brand of toothpaste! Not only does he have a state of the art surgery, he also has a well equipped mobile unit that goes out every day to promote oral hygiene awareness.

You'll take care of the patients, work with the dental hygienist and help with counselling. You'll go out with the mobile unit and assist the team with educating the school children on the importance of oral hygiene and teaching them preventative measures. You'll also get involved with screening for diseases.


Care and Physiotherapy for Disabled and Abused Women and Children in Borneo
Help children with mental, physical and emotional disabilities as well as some young adults and abused women/children. This is a challenging and rewarding project that is suitable for either those with basic care experience or fully qualified Physiotherapists.

This is a live-in residential care project situated close to Sabah's beautiful coastline and around 15 minutes drive from it's thriving capital, Kota Kinabalu.


Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech LanguageTherapy with Physically Disabled Children in Auckland
You'll assist in a special unit that has a large number of children with physical disabilities such as multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy and mobility problems.

You'll work as a teacher aid and shadow the existing therapists. You'll work under supervision alongside other teacher aids and staff, either in groups or one-on-one with the students. You'll also work with the children in a classroom environment and this will give you additional experience in how to work with their disabilities and to overcome these obstacles within education.



Care with Children at the Red Cross Hospital in Cape Town
The largest dedicated Children's Hospital south of the Sahara, providing specialist treatment to children from a few months to 12 years old. It is affiliated to the University of Cape Town and is a leading teaching and research institution.

Your main responsibilities will be to visit the children, hand out toys, play and interact with them, and give them lots of comfort and love. You may also assist with general non-medical support,

This is not a Medical project or internship, but does give you the opportunity to care for children in a Hospital Environment.

Psychology, Social Work and Counselling Work Experience in Knysna
Work with social workers who provide Counselling services to people in need of support owing to emotional problems. These can include marital and family stress, depression, mid-life crisis, divorce counselling, HIV-related counselling, conflict management and parenting.

The Society (FAMSA - Families South Africa) is very much family orientated, serving to help resolve family problems and disintegration. It is one of a chain of Centres throughout South Africa. You'll learn a lot about all the areas of counselling and social work that they deal with.


Medical Work Experience Internship in Livingstone
The Clinic supports local
communities about 30km outside Livingstone town center. The clinic sees over 1,200 outpatients per month, thus you'll have plenty of opportunity to observe experts and learn how they work in Zambia.

The clinic is a full service medical facility operating under the Ministry of Health. They offer antenatal services as well as labor and delivery and child health. They are a recognized HIV center offering ART (antiretroviral therapy) services, with over 600 patients receiving medicines.

They also provide community based mobile ART and Home Based Care and are a referral center for the other rural health centres in the surrounding areas.
