Teaching Disadvantaged Children in Mombasa, Kenya

Everything has been going well. Njery is very helpful and really nice and I have been made to feel really welcome by Priscilla who is really friendly and also helpful. I am quite glad I have been put in her home because the location of her house is good and we are clearly away from all the touristy parts which I like. I can't believe I'm coming to the end of my month, it feels like I've been here for sooo long.

Working at Tudor has definitely been an experience, again I think it is good for me to see what it is like to work in a government school which is badly funded and has many problems. I was warned that it might be a bit difficult trying to get things done before I started so I've been quite prepared.

I've really enjoy working in the special needs unit in the afternoons and Olivia and I are given lunch there every day. Njery is always ready to help and listen to any problems we may have.

Everything has been going well and I've been enjoying myself. I think we are well looked after and everyone was really helpful when I arrived and have shown me where everything is.
